Trading

I loved trading as a child, but this is something “we” adults miss out on. We are too busy making money and worrying about how to pay the bills on our next big purchase. We get focused on IRA’s and 401 k’s.

I long for good old days of trading baseball cards, stickers, or even Halloween candy. I really miss saying, "Good trade, good trade." I have noticed, once you obtain the ability to make your own money trading goes out the window. I say stand up America. It is time to recapture our heritage. I am not in support of this, but the settlers made tons of trades with the Native Americans. Professional sports have not given up on the idea of trades. So why have we?

Imagine going to work one morning at your cushy job only to discover you’ve been traded to the competition for a couple guys straight out of college. What if you traded your neighbor some of your homegrown tomatoes for some yard work. Dang! You can trade about anything. I will do your children’s schoolwork for a week if you let me play their Wii anytime I want.

My point: I will trade that too. Just make me an offer.
