As I child I believed I was going to grow up to be a dog. Unfortunately, I was unable to accomplish my goal. I became a minister and a disciple of Christ. As a minister, I am often asked, "What do you believe?"
One of my greatest character flaws, I want everyone to come to church. I don’t care who you are or what you have done. I want your life to be changed by the grace of Jesus Christ.
What do I believe?
Jesus said the most important commandment is, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
The second most important commandment, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
Jesus came to earth because we cannot die for our own sins. Therefore, without Jesus a personal relationship with God is impossible.
I believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. Paul states, Everything in the Scriptures is God’s Word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live. 17 The Scriptures train God’s servants to do all kinds of good deeds. (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
It is inspired word of God. It is God breathed and recorded by man.
I say the Bible is infallible, because there is no way you can read the Bible without learning Jesus, the Son of God, came to Earth to die for our sins.
I stand behind the words of Jesus found in Matthew 28:19, “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples.”
In closing, do you know what you believe?
